Awana Nepal
AWANA stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15 of the Bible. Awana is fully integrated evangelism and discipleship programs for children ages 6 to 15 that actively involve parents, church leaders and mentors. At Awana, we believe that God has placed us strategically for such a time as this, to equip Christian leaders in Nepal to train children to know, love and serve Christ.
Established in 1999, the blessings and favor of God has opened many doors for Awana Club Nepal to be great blessings to the churches in Nepal. Each week around 38,374 kids and 5,021 leaders representing 1,246 Awana clubs take part over 48 districts of Nepal. Since there are few programs for evangelism and discipleship for Nepali children, Awana has created an exciting new model for ministry called Leader Based Strategy (LBS). This approach allows Awana to exponentially expand its ministry by focusing on training local churches leaders who can touch the lives of thousands of kids through the Awana program.
