WORSHIP

Worship is where life meets Ultimate Reality... A place where we sense Eternal Significance and realize that we were created to "Live our lives to the full" in the presence of the God who loves us more than we could ever imagine!  We want every person at SVCC to be engaged in a lifestyle of worship.  Worshipping God is not found only in great music or meaningful songs, but in each and every moment of life. Our Sunday worship directs us toward a meaningful life of worship, lived each moment of the day! Worship is a sincere lifestyle, engaging the total self with God in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24, 1 Corinthians. 14:15)

We know that Christ is EMMANUEL, GOD WITH US! Our worship is directed toward God, and not the congregation. (Exodus 34:14)  God is the audience...it's not about us, but us finally coming to the recognition that it's all about Him.

And our worship is celebratory, reflective, and relevant, meeting people where they are.  Worship at SVCC is motivated by a desire to draw people into the presence and knowledge of God and move them to an active response to the person and work of God (Isaiah 6:1-8).   Worship is meant to be filled with all the emotions of life!  It is our life!  We want to hear the voice of God, calling us, to go and live eternally significant lives in ways that bring each person into a transforming relationship with God!
